Use cases / Brokered load tracking

Track brokered and third-party loads without an ELD or a carrier portal.

When you tender a load to an outside carrier, your visibility usually ends at the gate. CarrierHero gives you consent-based, load-scoped GPS from the driver's phone — and writes status straight back to Samsara as route notes.

Dispatchers stop chasing drivers for ETAs. Status arrives automatically and posts to Samsara notes.

Give customers a real answer

Send a clean, text-based status link — ETA, distance, milestones — without exposing a live map or driver identity.

Pass compliance reviews

Load-scoped, consent-first, no ad tracking. Built to clear Samsara Marketplace and shipper-vendor security checks on the first pass.

"We stopped sending 'where's my truck' emails. The status link does it for us, and our carriers didn't have to install a thing."

Common questions

Does the carrier have to be on Samsara?

No. The driver only needs a phone that can open a text message. Samsara sync is for your side — status notes post to your own routes.

What if the driver declines tracking?

Nothing is captured. The load stays in a pending state and your dispatcher is notified so they can follow up the old-fashioned way.

Is this an ELD or compliance device?

No. CarrierHero is visibility only — it does not record hours of service or replace an ELD. It is a temporary, consent-based location share.
